What is super 8 film?

Super 8 is a classic film format introduced in the 1960s, it was once the go-to medium for families capturing home movies. In today's age, it’s loved for its nostalgic, dream like quality—soft textures, warm tones, and that signature flicker that instantly takes you to another era. Unlike digital, Super 8 is shot on real film, giving it an authentic, imperfect beauty that can’t be digitally recreated.
Each roll of Super 8 holds about three minutes of footage, and the process - from filming to developing and scanning, is fully analog. It’s a hands-on, deliberate approach to storytelling, which is part of its enduring charm.
The cost of a single roll, including film, processing, and professional scanning, is about $150-200 depending on your location. It’s an investment of time and care—a true labor of love—that results in something timeless.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! It would be an honour to travel wherever your love story unfolds. Wherever it leads you, I’ll be there to capture it.
